It has been revealed that Labour MP for Rochdale Simon Danczuk has been suspended from the party after it came to light that he had been sending sexts to a 17 year old girl named Sophena Houlihan.

To make matters worse, Danczuk had sent the messages to Houlihan after she had applied for a job working for him. His response to this was to send her messages asking if she wanted to be spanked and telling her he was horny, amongst others. Smooth.

Even better than that though is that Danczuk himself has been heavily involved with campaigns to catch child sex predators, although a police investigation has cleared him of any wrongdoing in this instance. Danczuk claimed that the campaign left him depressed and caused him and his wife to split up, prompting his actions.

At the time he sent these messages though he had also started dating Labour councillor Claire Hamilton, who ruthlessly announced through Twitter over Christmas that she had dumped him. What an absolute mess.

Danczuk offered the following tweets as a form of an apology:

Well, that was half assed at best but I suppose at least he came clean about it and is admitting he did wrong and trying to ask for forgiveness. But in all honesty you shouldn’t be saying those things to a 17 year old kid who is looking for a job with you whatever line of work you’re in, let alone one as important as an MP. What the hell did he think was going to happen?

Dnaczuk has been suspended from the Labour Party whilst they conduct a full investigation, but I doubt the results of that are going to be too good for him. Although if this Labour councillor who claims he was raped by an alien can keep his job, maybe there’s hope for him yet.
