It’s well known that almost every celebrity ever wanted to try and get involved with Star Wars: The Force Awakens, but somehow the only one they’re revealing that had a secret cameo (apart from Simon Pegg and Daniel Craig that is) is Kevin Smith. Not sure why J.J. Abrams thought he was worth getting involved these days considering he’s pretty much washed up, but whatever.

Kevin Smith goes down as playing a storm trooper, but not actually physical playing one. I mean have you seen the size of him these days? There’s pretty much no way he would be able to fit in that regular sized armour, is there?

Instead he ended up voicing one of them in the attack on Maz Kanata’s cantina. He’s the one that shouts ‘We have incoming at 28.6! Move!’ Apparently it’s a drug reference. So now you know.

Matthew Wood, the sound editor for The Force Awakens, has revealed that there are a bunch of other famous actors who provided voices for the many storm troopers and aliens in the movies, but he’s yet to reveal the exact details of these. That’s probably because he’s a big spoilsport and they can probably manage to have the movie in the news until the next one comes out by leaking one name every week until its release date because there were probably so many people in it. Figures.

Kevin Smith himself though should probably stop docking around voicing storm troopers and try and remember how to make a good movie. It’s been a long time. I mean that whole thing about the lodger acting like a walrus just sounded completely weird right?
