Wow, what a savage dressing down from that judge there before sentencing. Called Jussie Smollett a “charlatan” (underrated word) and an “arrogant, selfish narcissist who has done real damage”. Then slaps him with 30 months probation, 150 days in jail and an $150k fine. I’m actually amazed he got any jail time at all considering he’s a celebrity and all, but I guess he wasted so much police time and embarrassed so many people with his outrageous lies that they just had to make an example of him.
The wildest part is that Jussie Smollett STILL insists he was the victim of a racist hate crime, even though it’s been proven that he planned the whole thing and paid his two buddies to carry it out. For some reason he thinks he’s going to be Epstein’d in prison and starts yelling that he’s not suicidal. Just basically proving the judge’s point that he’s a deluded, narcissistic psychopath who thinks he’s important enough to be assassinated in prison.
Who knows – if Jussie had owned up to his BS from the beginning and admitted he made a terrible decision, he may have avoided prison altogether and even salvaged some of his reputation. Just say sorry, take responsibility, and everyone would move on with their lives. But nope – dude’s a bullsh*tter to the end. Never forget:
