Former boxing champion Julius Francis went viral a couple of weeks ago after he knocked out some chav making trouble in his new role as a bouncer at Box Park, but we haven’t actually heard from the guy himself about the incident until now.

Julius was speaking to TMZ (very big time) about the KO when he said the following:

I was arrested and rightly so. I was taken to the police station for about four-and-a-half hours.

They came back and said ‘no further action’. They had statements from my manager, people at the door and they looked at our CCTV.

I wasn’t worried so much about that because it was actually me defending myself. I had the right to defend myself and that’s what I did when he raised his hands.

What actually has happened [is] the SIA… they have actually suspended my license to work, so I can’t work at the moment anyway.

So I’m just trying to get that sorted, and then hopefully [I’ll be] back on the doors as soon as possible you know, get back to work.

I wouldn’t mind a rematch with Mike Tyson in the meantime.

If there is a promoter that’s willing to promote a sanctioned fight and, I never have liked talking about money, but [if] they could come up with a decent offer, then who knows?

Lol pull the other one mate. I doubt Mike Tyson is going to stoop so low as to fight some dude who went viral for sparking some guy out even if they have fought each other in the ring twenty years ago – he’s too busy planning a bout with Jake Paul. Give the guy some credit.

As for Julius Francis though, I think we all want to see him back at work. Hopefully he’ll be able to figure that all out soon.

For more of the same, check out Mike Tyson beating the shit out of some guy who wouldn’t stop harassing him on a plane. Yeowch.
