Influencer Can’t Stop Crying After Trolls Attack Her Son’s Weird Name

I’m at the time of my life now where loads of people are starting to have babies and for the most part they’re giving them pretty cool names, but every now and again one of them has a bit of a stinker and everyone is talking about the poor kid behind their backs and questioning why the parents have gone with something so weird.

I kinda think that if you’re going to go for something ‘out there’ then you have to be prepared for the consequences – and probably don’t like your kid that much either because they’re clearly going to spend a large proportion of their life getting bullied – but one person who clearly wasn’t is influencer Liana Jade. The Leicestershire based mother welcomed her son Koazy with her partner Conor last summer, but his name has been subject to viral abuse in the comments section of ‘ The Unplanned Podcast’ by YouTubers Matt and Abby after they discussed the subject on the show.

Liana explained the situation and how upsetting it’s been for her in a recent TikTok:

@lianajadeeIn the moment 🥺♬ i hear a symphony x pluto projector – 🙂

I know it’s not everyone’s cup of tea, but people have kinda pulled it out of context and said that we called him Koazy because he was cozy in the womb.

No, it was a name we already had and as I was getting so heavily pregnant, people were saying ‘Oh he was cozy in your belly’ and it kind of confirmed to us that that’s what we should name him.

Because we already had that name and people were saying it and it was almost like ‘oh my god, it’s meant to be’ kinda thing. I wasn’t trying to name him anything for a flex.

Matt and Abby leaving the comments section open on their video allowed people who didn’t like our baby name to just rip at it.

It’s really upset me. I knew everyone wasn’t going to love the name so I’m not gonna sit here defending it, everyone is entitled to their own opinion but it’s just different when there’s this comments section open on such a big influencer’s video of people, fully grown adults, just sat there slandering my baby’s name.

I think it’s quite cruel and if I posted that video personally and I was going to express that opinion that I had, I think I would be very mindful of who was being named and how that could have an affect on other people.

Geez this really does seem like a bit of an overreaction here doesn’t it? I think if you’re going to have any kind of an online profile then people are going to rip you for some aspect of your personality – here’s a 10,000 word diss article someone wrote about me – and  whilst I do get that it’s upsetting for people to diss your baby, I really think that people like Liana just have to deal with it if they’ve got an insatiable need for fame and are going to put every aspect of their life out there on the internet.

That’s just how people are unfortunately and if you’re not equipped to deal with it then maybe you should just get off the internet. Or better yet maybe just don’t read the comments? Pretty sure that nobody ever says anything good in them anyway.

Couple of ideas for you there Liana. Hope everything works out for you soon.

For more of the same, check out this guy who says that being an influencer is as tough as being a brain surgeon. Maybe I should cut them some slack actually.
