I’m not really sure what I think of Adam Sandler – sure ‘Uncut Gems’ was great and some of his early movies were pretty funny, but he’s also responsible for some of the most trash films that have ever been released – but I’m aware that he’s almost universally thought of as a great guy outside of the industry and this video illustrates that perfectly.

The TikTok was taken by IHOP employee Dayanna Rodas who told a customer that it would be around about a 30 minute wait until a table was ready for him and his son. The guy decided that this was too long to wait and decided to take his business elsewhere, which is a perfectly reasonable encounter from everyone involved – until Rodas realised that the man she had turned away was Adam Sandler.
Naturally, she then decided to obtain the security footage of the incident and share it on TikTok, where it’s now been viewed an astonishing 7. 5 million times:

Anyway, obviously everyone is praising Adam Sandler for not acting like a prima donna and using his celebrity status to secure a table at IHOP, but we should probably look at the fact that we’re all  this as an exception to the rule as a sad reflection on society and celebrity culture within it. Sorry to be a bummer, but I guess it’s midweek hump day isn’t it? Just think about it.
