We did a couple of ‘Pro Wrestling Flashback’ posts a few years back and having just seen that the Honky Tonk Man is being inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame this year, we thought why not bring it back?

It’s really just an excuse to post one of then Honky Tonk Man’s most memorable moments – the time he fractured Jake the Snake’s neck with a guitar after accidentally hitting him with his real guitar instead of the prop one. Whoops.

Ouch, that looked like it hurt and it definitely did. In fact Jake the Snake said years later that it was that neck injury that kickstarted his addiction to painkillers, which then went on to pretty much take over his life until he recently got clean.

Anyway, congrats to the Honky Tonk Man on his upcoming induction. I’m sure someone’s getting smashed over the head with a (hopefully fake) guitar that weekend.
