With Phillip Schofield sh@gging pimply-faced runners, Holly Willoughby jumping queues, and other assorted dramas, it’s no surprise that the This Morning cast received a less-than-favourable reaction at the National Television Awards last night.
Not only did the show fail to win any awards, they were also roundly booed by the audience when host Joel Dommett pointed them out near the front row (which they no doubt appreciated).
Unfortunately, all the clips keep getting hit with copyright strikes, but Holly’s face in this screenshot pretty much sums it up:
In fairness, this was always going to happen after all the controversy surrounding the show in the last year, so fair play to Holly and co for even turning up. At least they got an invite, which is more than can be said for Schofield.
Besides, they didn’t even get the largest boo of the night. That went to Piers Morgan, who lapped it up as usual:
The big winners on the night were Ant & Dec (as usual), who took the award for Best Presenters while Graham Norton won Best Talk Show. Better luck next time, This Morning.
