We’ve been excited about the new Netflix comedy ‘Space Force’ for a while due to the wealth of talent involved with it and now the first trailer has finally arrived so we can see what the fuss is all about.

The series follows the adventures of a group of people tasked with establishing the sixth branch of the United States Armed Forces, the United States Space Force – which of course President Trump actually launched in real life towards the end of last year. Steve Carell is headlining the cast alongside Lisa Kudrow, John Malkovich, Ben Schwartz, Diana Silvers and Tawny Newsome and the show is co-created by Carell and ‘American Office’ creator Greg Daniels, so hopes are reasonably high with this one.

Take a look below and see what you think:

Yeah, doesn’t really look that good does it? I guess we were all expecting ‘The American Office’ but in space and that was probably a bit naive as it doesn’t look like that style of show at all, but I don’t think I laughed at all during the trailer as all the jokes pretty much fell flat.

Having said that it’s pretty difficult to make jokes slap when you don’t really know any of the characters so you have to go for all the obvious ones, so I’ll probably tune in and give this a shot when it drops on May 29th. You’ve gotta expect with everyone involved that it’s going to be good, right? And it’s not like we have much else to do anyway.

For more of the same, check out who almost replaced Steve Carell on ‘The American Office’. Completely ridiculous.
