A man who was unwilling to pay $3 for cheese on his burger was brutally ditched in the middle of his date by a woman who then went on TikTok to relay the story (as you do).

I guess she thought the internet was going to love the fact she dumped some guy who wouldn’t pay 3000% mark-up when he didn’t have to, but it didn’t quite turn out that way:

Sounds like $3 well-saved at the end of the day. I mean, it’s not like paying that $3 would’ve broken the bank after he’s already ordered an $18 burger, not to mention what his date ordered, but sometimes it’s about the principle. Why should he get suckered into paying $3 for cheese just because he’s on a first date in a restaurant in New York? Fair play to the guy for saying ‘enough is enough!’

In the end, he ended up getting a free meal out of it too – if we’re to believe the part of the story where she paid for everything before walking out. Not sure I do tbh. Either way though, huge W for him and a massive L for this girl who thought she’d come out of this looking like some kind of internet legend. You live and you learn.
