The Contila Retirement Group is Essen, Germany sounds like the best retirement home in history.

I mean in most of the ones I’ve seen all the old people do is sit around watching TV, farting, shouting at each other and maybe playing Bingo every now and again if they’re lucky, but at this one the staff get professional stylists and photographers in and and dress the senior citizens up as their favourite movie stars in their favourite movie scenes and THEN they produce a calendar with the photographs that they give to their families. That sounds like a lot more fun for EVERYONE involved right?

You can check out highlights from the calendar below. Only 5000 were produced and given to the staff and the residents of the centre as well as their families. I don’t think there are any available to buy but maybe if you email the centre if you really want one they can sort you out.
