The world has been in mourning since last week, following the shocking and sudden news that George Michael had sadly passed away. RIP.

George Michael’s boyfriend Fadi Fawaz in particular was devastated by the news, and unfortunately for him this was made so much worse this week as a series of tweets appeared on his social media accounts claiming that the late singer committed suicide.

Many people were horrified at the news that George Michael had killed himself, but Fawaz swiftly came out and said that his account had been hacked. He added:

I am shocked with what’s going on with the Twitter thing. My Twitter account has been hacked and closed.

This begs the question: who would hack into his account and send these tweets out? What motive did they have? It’s completely and utterly bizarre what people get up to on the internet these days.

Regardless of this strange occurrence, we hope that George is resting in peace. And fuck you 2016 for taking one more legend from us at the last minute.

Let’s hope 2017 turns out to be better, although we’re pretty sure Donald Trump will ruin any chances of that happening.
