Lewis Meehan, 27, has been awarded a four-figure payout after the events seen in the footage above where a worker aboard a cruise ship repeatedly (and wishfully) asked if he was gay while delivering his pizza.

As per Birmingham Mail, the waiter delivered the pizza aboard the Britannia, a P&O Cruises ship, in the early hours of January 23, where Lewis answered the door in his boxers. I guess the waiter’s gaydar was off because he then called Lewis’s room and said he had to return to collect payment, which Lewis astutely found a bit odd. He set up his camera just in case and sure enough when he answered the door, the waiter essentially propositioned him for sex and kept asking him if he was sure he was straight. Despite assuring the waiter he wouldn’t complain about the incident, that’s exactly what Lewis did and the waiter was kept in a cabin for the remainder of the journey and removed from the ship at the next stop on the Caribbean trip.

Lewis said of the ordeal:

It was just so unexpected — it totally ruined our holiday. My sister was really scared by it. I was bigger than him and felt OK handling the situation, but I worried about it happening to someone more vulnerable.

Very true. Could be that this little fella was just after a bit of consensual fun and obviously read the situation completely wrong, but crew members (who likely have access to cabin keys) definitely shouldn’t be propositioning passengers or vice versa at the end of the day. In any case, might want to work on his technique next time.
