Libertarian presidential nominee Gary Johnson was asked by MSNBC’s Chris Matthews during a town hall forum to name his “favourite foreign leader.”

Johnson instantly went into panic mode and tried to skip around the question, but presenter Matthews wasn’t having any of it.

Things got very cringe-worthy indeed:

Watching someone’s brain freeze up like that on live TV is just fascinating and terrifying at the same time. Not saying I’d be able to give a great answer if I was in that situation, but then again I’m not running for President of the U.S. like Gary Johnson. You’ve got to do better than that mate.
