Even around 40 years after his first appearance, Freddy Krueger remains one of the most terrifying horror movie villains of all time and it’s unlikely that he will ever be usurped as one of the kings of the genre.

Obviously one of the main points of horror behind Freddy is his absolutely barbaric glove with knives on the end of each finger. Although it’s the kind of device that you couldn’t really ever imagine anyone owning in real life, it turns out that’s a false assumption because someone just handed one in during London’s knife amnesty, as you can see in the pictures below:

Ouch. If knife crime wasn’t already terrifying enough it really adds another level when you think about gang members walking around and fighting each other with that thing strapped on. Not cool at all.

The knife glove was handed in as part of the Metropolitan Police’s Operation Sceptre Initiative. It aims to educate young people about the realities of knife crime and offers several amnesty bins all over the city where people can drop off their knives with no fear of repercussions.

This glove was dropped in one such bin in Uxbridge, meaning we’ll probably never find out who used it or what their motivation was. Hopefully we never see one again because it’s a truly brutal weapon that can do a lot of damage – it’s more like something out of Mortal Kombat than an actual street weapon.
