The Flaming Lips Performed Live With The Band And Audience In Their Signature Bubbles

I feel like most people know how crazy going to a show by ‘The Flaming Lips’ is and that it’s mainly due to the fact that lead singer Wayne Coyne performs some of the set from inside a giant zorb whilst floating around, but I guess some people have never encountered that – maybe that’ll change after their performance on Stephen Colbert last night.

Obviously, the fact that the band’s gimmick is playing inside giant zorbs means that social distancing can be observed by those in them, so they decided to put everyone in the band in them and then also put the audience in them too and the results were pretty funny. Kinda moving too in a mid Coronavirus world. Take a look below and see what you think:

I mean that is really silly isn’t it, but also kinda fun and hopeful? Although I hope that isn’t the future of live music when this is all over because that would just be stupid and no fun at all. Fingers crossed.
