‘Stranger Things’ blasted back onto our screens a couple of weeks ago after a three year hiatus and it’s fair to say that most people have been enjoying the new series and the fact that we’ve got to wait until July 1st for the final two feature length episodes has annoyed a fair few of us.

The fact that Netflix has just dropped the trailer for volume 2 of the new series is probably only going to exasperate that feeling even further but maybe it might grant some of us a bit of respite for the long three weeks that are coming up whilst we wait for them. Take a look and see what you think:

Yeah that’s not really giving anything away at all is it? Does look pretty exciting though doesn’t it?

Here’s what co-creater Matt Duffer had to say about the final two orders:

[Episodes] seven and nine in particular are movies. And nine is a long movie.

A lot of it had to do with the fact that we had characters spread out in three locations and we had a lot more plot. It must be quadruple the plot we had in season three.

That was our fun blockbuster season. This season we knew that season five was going to be our last, we had to start revealing a lot.

The more we were writing, the more we realised we need more time in order for these reveals to land, in order for these storylines to work.

Partway through we knew we needed to ask Netflix for nine episodes instead of eight and as we started shooting we realised, ‘Oh these are mega-long episodes.

Yeah all of the episodes are really long aren’t they, but I’ve been kinda there for it with the first part of the season. There’s so many interesting characters and plotlines going on that for the most part they literally fly by. It’s been a good series so far – I’m hoping they stick the landing when these final two episodes drop on July 2nd.
