The Punisher has always been one of the best of the Marvel heroes and Jon Bernthal’s portrayal of him didn’t disappoint in either Daredevil or his own show last year.

SPOILERS – Obviously the end of the first series saw The Punisher return to civilian life after all his murders were pretty much erased by the feds, but there was no way that was going to last for too long. Turns out he’s looking after some runaway girl in this series and we also see returns for Billy Russo – well on his way to becoming Jigsaw – and Agent Madani is also returning, although there’s no sign of Micro – hope he’s OK.

Anyway, take a look at it for yourself:

I mean that does look pretty wicked doesn’t it? Very violent and explosive, although I haven’t really got a clue what the plot is going to revolve around. Great we’ve only gotta wait a week for it as well.

Of course, the fact that Netflix seems to be cancelling all of its Marvel properties ahead of the launch of their own streaming platform – despite rave reviews for the last season of Daredevil -might make watching it a bit bittersweet as you know it’s going to be the final time we see Frank, you may as well just accept it and kick back and enjoy the ride. The Punisher wouldn’t have it any other way.
