Man, this is sad to see. I know Vince McMahon is 78 years old now, but I still wasn’t prepared to see this backstage footage of him using a walking stick at the Fury/Ngannou fight in Saudi Arabia, and looking a million miles away from the hench, charismatic billionaire who created a worldwide empire with WWE:

Something so eerie (and cool) about his finest creation, The Undertaker, walking beside him too. It’s extra shocking to see Vince like this because just a few years ago, he was looking like an absolute beast for Muscle & Fitness. These photos are from 2016:
In fairness, he’s probably still got more testosterone coursing through his 78 year old veins than most of us do, and he did have back surgery in the summer, so maybe he’ll be walking unaided again sometime in the future. Still, his health issues could explain why he hasn’t been on screen for WWE in the longest time (to my knowledge), and why he sanctioned the merger with UFC by selling the company to Endeavor.
Love him or hate him, Vince McMahon is one of the most fascinating people to ever walk on the face of this planet. Here’s hoping he’s still with us for a long, long time to come:
