I think pretty much everyone in the world watched the first series of ‘Tiger King’ after it coincided with the first week of lockdowns during the Coronavirus pandemic, but not so many people tuned into the second series and it turns out that they all missed one crucial piece of information contained within it.

One of the main storylines of the first season revolved around Carole Baskin allegedly killing her husband Don Lewis and covering up his murder in order to inherit all his money, but everyone is just realising that he was actually revealed to be alive during an interview in ‘Tiger King 2’. Here’s what Carole Baskin had to say about it in a resurfaced interview from back in November 2021:
One of the really exciting things that came out of Tiger King 2 is that they produced a letter from Homeland Security and it says that a special agent in charge with the FBI at Homeland Security reached out to the sheriff’s detective George [Jorge] Fernandez, which means this had to have happened after 2002, because Homeland Security wasn’t even around until 2002
They said that my husband, Don Lewis, is alive and well in Costa Rica.
I didn’t think he was capable of supporting himself.
He took about a million dollars down to Costa Rica, I had agreed to let him do that so he could prove to himself that he could make a living.
However, that hefty amount dwindled to USD $80,000 as his investments were so bad.
There’s also a letter from Homeland Security featured in the series that you can see below that says the following:
[Redacted] has learned that Don Lewis is currently alive and well in Costa Rica,” the letter said.
Upon receiving this information, S/A [redacted] contacted Hillsborough Detective Jorge Fernandez and advised him of Lewis’ whereabouts.
S/A [redacted] has learned that Lewis has loaned money to various individuals in Costa Rica and could live quite well on the interest earned from these loans.
Lewis could reside in Costa Rica indefinitely. This investigation will be closed.
Sounds pretty legit doesn’t it? I don’t think anyone is actually going to believe it though until Lewis comes out and makes a video statement proving to the world that he’s actually alive. Other than that letter there isn’t really any other such confirmation out there.
However, like I said everyone completely missed this the first time around and is shocked that it wasn’t bigger news at the time.:

I guess maybe everyone should have actually tuned into ‘Tiger King 2’ then? Will almost certainly have to check out the third series of the thing if they end up making one if these are the standards of the revelations we can expect.
