Elon Musk might be a categorically awful person and an absolute bastard, but you can’t deny that he has his finger on the pulse of what America wants and this is probably why he’s admitted changing the price of the new Tesla for the meme jokes.

On Wednesday night, Musk announced via his Twitter account that he would be slashing the price of the new Tesla Model S to $69,420 in reaction to another company called Lucid releasing their new model the Lucid Air at a price of $69,900. Needless to say, Elon knew that this price change would get a reaction and a bunch of fans were eager to make jokes about it and praise him on Twitter:

Yeah, not really sure if any of those tweets are particularly complimentary about the guy, but he’s achieved the objective he wanted as everybody is talking about the new price of his Tesla car and nobody is talking about the Litmus or whatever it was called (It’s actually Lucid but you see what’s happening here). Guy is a legit evil genius and everyone is falling for his charms, including me by writing about it write here. Goddammit.
