El Chapo’s wife Emma Coronel Aispuro was jailed for 3 years back in 2021 after being busted trying to traffic coke, marijuana, heroin, and basically every drug under the sun into the US.

It seems she’s adapted to life in prison quite well though, with leaked photos suggesting she’s grown close to inmate Michelle Hebron, a transgender Bloods gang leader sentenced to 30 years for racketeering:

I’m not sure why it looks like these two are having a photoshoot after attending prison prom but I guess anything’s possible when you have that kind of pull. I mean, there’s just no way anyone in prison is messing with this duo, is there? The wife of one of the most dangerous drug lords of all time and a leader of one of the most notorious street gangs in America.

Could be that El Chapo’s people hired Michelle for Emma’s protection, which was probably a wise choice given this news item on her history:

Doesn’t play games, clearly. No wonder Emma looks like she doesn’t have a care in the world, especially with her scheduled release date around the corner – September 2023. You may be wondering why she got such a relatively light sentence, and that’s because the judge noted that she was a teenager when she married El Chapo and that she admitted her guilt immediately upon capture. She will be under supervised release for a further four years, though.

As for El Chapo, he’ll remain in prison for the rest of his life unless he manages to escape again. Not sure if Emma plans on continuing the family business once the dust has settled, but I guess she’ll have done some decent networking hanging out with Michelle Hebron this whole time. After all, the reality TV route didn’t work out for her, so what’s a girl to do?

FYI, if you’d like to be Michelle Hebron’s prison pen pal, you can apply HERE. Why not eh?
