One of the hardest struggles I’m sure any of you reading this faces every day is just getting out of bed. It’s cold, it’s wet and you don’t want to have to go to work and it would be way better just snuggled up under the covers right?

Well, hotel chain Jurys Inn Hotel Group has for some reason decided to try and solve this problem (I mean it’s a problem that needs solving, just not sure why a hotel group is trying to do that?) by creating what they’ve imaginatively called the Suvet. Yes, it combines a duvet and a suit.

It’s a two piece suit and has a snood like collar which can also double up as a pillow when you’re on public transport. The oversized shoulder pads are also pretty comfortable and will probably make it a bit easier to get some extra space on that morning commute. It will probably make it a bit easier to grab 40 winks too.

Jurys were inspired to create the suit after they discovered that 56% of British people struggled to get out of bed in the morning. They teamed up with costume designer to the stars, Wendy Benstead and the rest is history. Apparently it’s ‘undeniably stylish, professional, and unisex.’ Hmmm.

Of course, they’re not actually for sale yet but Suzanne Cannon – the head of marketing for Jurys Inn – hasn’t ruled it out:

If there is enough interest in this prototype we will definitely consider putting a limited edition run into production — after all, who doesn’t like the thought of a duvet day, every day.

I guess if you want to look like a complete weirdo on your morning commute, then keep your eyes peeled. You’ll probably be interested in 25 completely completely stupid Japanese inventions that actually exist too.
