A drunk driver who ran a red light and slammed into a vehicle, killing a man and badly injuring his wife and two children, was caught on film being apprehended by a Good Samaritan as he tried to flee the scene.

Not before faceplanting into a pile of bricks, though:

Dylan Molina, 26, had downed 8 double vodkas before getting into his rental jeep, and has this week been sentenced to 15 years in prison for manslaughter. Initially when the Good Samaritan pinned him down I thought he yelled “You’ll kill somebody.” I didn’t realise he said “You killed somebody” and that he’d literally taken someone’s life. Imagine how bad it must’ve been for the witnesses to know that he killed someone before they even managed to get into the car.

So heartbreaking that a man is dead and his family will forever be without a dad/husband all because of this fxcking moron, who then had the audacity to try and run away from the situation too. Somehow 15 years seems like a slap on the wrist given that the surviving victims have been left without. Apparently the barman who served him those 8 double vodkas is in serious trouble too, and the bar itself risks having its license revoked. Can’t be serving someone that much alcohol in the middle of the day and expect it to end well. RIP to the victim and thoughts with his family.
