Long before political correctness.

In the Trump-era that we live in, it can sometimes be hard to remember that political correctness has come a long way over the years. Yes, we do still have a way to go with regards to equal pay, the sexualisation of women and racial stereotypes and discrimination, but at least it’s no longer acceptable to promote the blatant sexist and racist ideals that were considered the norm just several decades ago.

Looking through at these vintage advertisements, it’s unbelievable that these absurdities were considered normal. Back in the day, it really was a white man’s world:

Blimey. I didn’t think it was possible, but these posters actually make the Kendall Jenner Pepsi ad look half-acceptable.
