Not sure if you remember Courtney Stodden or not, but from what I remember of her she was some kind of reality star that married a much older man when she was just 16 years old?

Yeah, just Googled and it turns out she married 51 year old actor Doug Hutchinson when she was only 16 back in 2011 and the pair were eventually divorced after a whole bunch of reality shows in 2018 with Courtney putting out a confusing statement saying that she would always love Doug, but also saying that she felt like she had groomed. I guess both of those things could be true but either way it’s not exactly painting a clear picture.

Anyway, for some reason Stodden has today decided to take aim at Chrissy Teigen’s decision to come off Twitter back in March after being billed incessantly, claiming that she had no right to do such a thing as Chrissy had regularly bulled her in the past via the social media platform. Take a look for yourself and see what you think:

She wouldn’t just publicly tweet about wanting me to take ‘a dirt nap’ but would privately DM me and tell me to kill myself.

Things like, ‘I can’t wait for you to die.’

And not only her, but Joy Behar had a field day with calling me a ‘slut.’

Courtney Love told me I was a ‘whore.’

“People came out of the woodwork to beat up on a kid because she was in a situation that she shouldn’t have been in.

There were a lot of celebrities acting like playground bullies.

Some of the worst treatment I got was from women, and we’re not going to get anywhere if we keep holding each other back.

Yeah, from what I remember about Stodden – mainly from writing about it on Sick Chirpse, naturally – she was really annoying back then and kind of an entitled brat, but I think we can all agree that it’s pretty out of order for all these older female celebrities to just slide into her DMs with all this abuse and not even do it publicly. I guess they can all say that it was a different time back then and they were younger or whatever, but is that a good enough excuse?

There’s also the argument that Stodden was asking for this by marrying a man 35 years older than her and immediately making a reality TV show about it, but I suppose you can also say that she was a 16 year old kid and probably wasn’t sure what she was getting herself into. I guess we could all be nicer in these situations, myself included. Everyone can do better, maybe this video will help people with that.

For more of the same, check out what we had to say about Stodden back in 2012. Nowhere near as bad as Chrissy Teigen.
