Conor McGregor is never far from a controversial headline and the latest bust up involving him comes courtesy of an incident in Miami where he allegedly smashed a fan’s phone on the ground and stomped on it.

McGregor was promptly arrested following the altercation that took place around 5am in on Monday morning near the Fontainebleau Miami Beach hotel. A 22 year old from Slough was trying to get a picture of McGregor when he decided to snap, knocking the phone out of the victim’s hands and then stomping on it on the floor, before picking it up and walking away with it.

He was charged with strong-armed robbery and misdemeanor criminal mischief after the police picked him up from his house, but he’s already out of jail after posting bond and stuck up the following Instagram post sort of apologising for his actions:

Yeah that isn’t really an apology is it, but I guess at least he’s kinda acknowledging some of his flaws. In fairness I can imagine it must be pretty annoying never being able to go anywhere without having millions of people trying to take photos of you, but I suppose that’s the price you pay for being rich and famous. Deal with it.

Also kinda funny to notice what McGregor is wearing. Whilst he has been known for making some predictions that come true during his fights (alvarez, mendes, Aldo), more recently he got completely battered by Khabib and didn’t even knock him down. Hopefully that rematch is in the making and we can really see what Conor is all about.
