Did you enjoy drinking your iced coffee through a paper straw this morning? Feel like you did your bit to save the environment?

Well that’s nice, because Neymar just travelled from Paris to Riyadh in a GIANT Boeing 747-400 to complete his £86.3 million move to Saudi Pro League side Al Hilal. Look at the bloody size of this thing:

Naturally, climate Twitter is up in arms about this. Wait till they hear that the Saudis have gifted Neymar his own private plane for the entirety of his contract at Al Hilal:

Maybe there is a compromise to be made here. I mean, a plane of that size making a round trip from Riyadh to Paris just to pick up Neymar and a few of his buddies is kind of absurd. That Boeing could probably fit a few hundred people no problem! So I can sort of see where Greta and co would be coming from on this one. He could have easily taken a smaller private jet which would have been faster and more efficient on every level!

Still, the Saudis (and Neymar) like to do things BIG. Get a load of his introduction to the fans of Al-Hilal:

The Saudi Pro League experiment is becoming very interesting indeed. How long before every squad is packed with European megastars flying in on Boeing 747s? Hey, maybe they can coax Ben Foster out of retirement (again).
