CIA Torture Report Summary: They Lied

For instance, Former Vice President Dick Cheney, or just plain Dick, is still chuffed about the CIA’s performance. Dick said the report’s criticisms of the CIA were “a bunch of hooey” and that harsh interrogation tactics were “absolutely, totally justified”. He also said that he didn’t feel that the CIA misled him about the techniques used or the value of the information obtained from them, and that “if I had to do it over again, I would”. *Shudder*.

I was going to write that the CIA’s methods were medieval but I think that does a disservice to medieval torturers, at least they were up front about it. If they tortured someone they did it cheap and they did it in public. No crawling and sneaking about.

CIA torture

If torture is definitely not the best or most reliable way of extracting information from people, you have to ask why they continue to do it? They’re either massively behind the times or they get some sort of kick out of it. Either way it’s pretty worrying.

It’s weird to say, but North Korea’s rant about the state of America’s human rights record is actually spot on for once. If Kim Jong-Fatty thinks you’re heavy-handed you need to wake up and smell what you’re shoveling.

I guess we’re just lucky that Obama and his cronies are friends with Britain.
