‘Game of Thrones’ is one of the most successful TV shows of all time, so it’s understandable that the cast are going to get paid pretty hefty salaries for each episode, particularly as the show is coming to the last couple of series.

But fuck me, it has been revealed how much the key cast are getting and it is absolutely ludicrous. According to Deadline, main characters Peter Dinklage (Tyrion Lannister), Kit Harington (Jon Snow), Lena Headey (Cersei Lannister), Emilia Clarke (Daenerys Targaryen) and Nikolaj Coster-Waldau (Jaime Lannister) all make a cool $500,000 (nearly £340,000) per episode. PER EPISODE. Madness.

That amounts to $5million each season, although the final two series 7 and 8 are meant to be shorter, with only seven episodes instead of the usual 10, probably because they are running out of material.
The last pay rise was reportedly in 2014, where they were previously earning $300,000 for each episode. That is an actual bad boy salary – I can’t imagine earning that much money in a year, let alone for one freakin’ hour long episode.
As said, that’s all gonna come to an end soon and we’ll just have to put up with whatever other bullshit TV show comes out next. And this girl will no longer be able to abuse her ex-boyfriend with ‘Game of Thrones’ spoilers.
