Seven people were left dead (including the gunman) and seven injured late on Friday night in a premeditated gun attack on one of California’s largest college campuses, in a chilling reminder that American society is still massively vulnerable to psychopaths with handguns.
The son of Peter Rodgers, assistant director of the Hunger Games, has been implicated as the shooter. Elliot Rodgers left behind a haunting and deeply disturbing vlog a mere few hours before the massacre occurred, wherein he detailed his plans to “slaughter” the “sluts” of the University of California Santa Barbara.
