A lot of people were disappointed this year about missing out on Glastonbury tickets, but why cry about that when you can still pick up one for the UK’s best festival Boomtown?

Regular readers of Sick Chirpse should be familiar with Boomtown as we’ve been bigging it up for some time now and it’s been a joy to watch it grow from one of the smaller festivals out there into a true heavyweight of the UK scene. This year this will be reflected in the quality of the headliners with The Streets, Prophets Of Rage and Lauryn Hill all showing up to headline and being joined by such diverse artists as Bedouin Soundclash, Napalm Death, Pennywise and Salt N Pepa.

On top of this, Boomtown has a couple of new districts this year with the inclusion of Relic and Area 404, which kinda look they’re going to be space and ancient civilisation themed and I’m sure are only going to add to the immersive atmosphere that Boomtown is already so famous for with areas like Copper County and Diss-Order Alley. Added to this is the fact that Boomtown has a firm focus on the environment and sustainability with a number of initiatives in place to ensure that it’s the most environmentally friendly festival this summer and you know that it’s going to be money well spent and a damn good time.
