It’s a well documented fact that toilet paper is in short supply in this country at the moment thanks to the Coronavirus outbreak and people preparing to be quarantined for God knows how long, but thankfully someone has managed to see the funny side of it and turn it into a funny game for the patrons of their arcade.

34 year old Eddie Chapman is the owner of Chapman’s Funland amusement arcade in Bridlington, East Yorkshire and he decided to swap out the cuddly toys in one of his grab hand games for toilet paper. He’s hoping that it’ll bring a smile to the faces of those beat down with Coronavirus fatigue, as well as giving people the chance to get their hands on bog roll – if they’re skilful enough that is.

Here’s what he had to say about it:

I think all this panic buying of toilet roll has been “loo-dicrous”, and so came up with this idea to hopefully get people to calm down.

It’s 30p a go and we’ve replaced the plush toys in the machine with the loo paper, it’s not quilted or anything, just bog standard.

It’s just a bit of fun which is what coming to seaside towns like Bridlington is all about, I think people need to relax a little and stop panic buying.

Truer words have never been spoken – although the way things are going I wouldn’t be too surprised if people were smashing up Chapman’s Amusements in the next couple of days in a bid to get the last remaining toilet stock in Bridlington. You’ve been warned Eddie.

For more of the same, check out this man locking his wife in the toilet because he suspected her of having Coronavirus. Needs must.
