Anonymous have been around for a while but this might be the most V for Vendetta thing they’ve done yet. Ever since Russia invaded Ukraine last week, the hacking group has been going all-out trying (and succeeding) to take down Russian state-run websites and propaganda. Here’s a look at a few things they’ve managed so far…

Amazing. It’s all playing out like the movies where hackers take over the airwaves to put out a message they want the public to see. And we’re talking about Russian government websites with the highest levels of encryption and security known to man. Wild to think there are a bunch of dudes out there who are capable of this just sitting on their laptops and doing what they think is right, and no one will ever know who they are.

Who knows, what Anonymous is doing might actually turn out to be more effective than the sanctions that the rest of the world is putting on Russia. Things certainly don’t seem to be going the way Putin planned, that’s for sure.

For the time Anonymous launched a similar attack on Japan as part of their anti-whaling campaign, click HERE.
