It’s a strange site, pristine houses, all mod cons, just left to rot. Some estimate that 15% of homes in Ireland are vacant, which is pretty mental. In 2012 a toddler drowned in a puddle on one of these estates so the government has given funding to some local councils to bulldoze them and get rid of them. What a monumental waste of time and money. Here is a map that shows where these estates are….. brings the scope of the problem home doesn’t it.
