Whoopi Goldberg Addresses Her Name Appearing In The Epstein Files

Whoopi Goldberg has been beating everyone over the head for any association with Epstein, but she’s now been forced to address her own name appearing in the files after she seemingly asked to borrow Epstein’s private plane (or rather, someone asked on her behalf).

Whoopi assured audiences on The View that just because your name is in the files, it doesn’t mean you’ve been up to anything dodgy:

Joy Behar: “Anybody can be on this list.”

Whoopi: “Anybody. Well, this is my point. Because, I’m telling you when I tell you people are trying to turn me into — I wasn’t his girlfriend. I wasn’t his friend.”

Whoopi’s name appears in a 2013 email correspondence between Epstein and an unidentified party discussing arranging a private plane for Goldberg to travel to Monaco for a charity event for Julian Lennon’s White Feather Foundation.

The email shows that Epstein declined the request, responding with “No thanks”, so as far as anyone knows, Whoopi Goldberg never even met the guy.

Unfortunately for Whoopi, the mere fact her name is in the files means there’ll be conspiracy theories about her forever. It probably doesn’t help that she once defended film director Roman Polanski after his arrest in Switzerland for a 1977 sexual assault case involving a 13-year-old girl.

In 2009, she stated on-air, “I know it wasn’t ‘rape-rape’,” suggesting it was a “different kind of society” and implying a hierarchy of sexual offenses.

She also initially defended Bill Cosby against numerous sexual assault allegations, urging people to maintain the “innocent until proven guilty” standard. She eventually changed her tune after more evidence became public, stating, “It looks bad, Bill”.
