Scary Movie 6 ‘Won’t Give A Sh*t’ If Anyone Gets Offended

The first Scary Movie (2000) was f*cking hilarious, so it’s good to hear that the original cast and creators are getting together for a new entry into the franchise.

Scary Movie 6 is set for release in June 2026, a whole thirteen years since (the offensively bad) Scary Movie 5 came out in 2013.

It also sounds like the crew are going back to their original, no-holds-barred roots that made the first couple of Scary Movies so good.

Marlon Wayans told Entertainment Weekly: “We just want to make everybody laugh, and we don’t care if you’re sensitive. Even sensitive people need to laugh at themselves.”

“Just know that we’re not just laughing at you, you get the chance to laugh at others. When we did White Chicks, we made fun of everybody. We made fun of Black people, we made fun of white people, we made fun of Hispanic people. That’s just what we do. We make fun of the world, make light of the world. It’s not to harm, it’s to bring humor.

“You may offend people here and there, but, hey, not every joke’s gonna land 100 percent, but if you tell a joke and 100 people laugh and one person walks out, that’s still a good joke.”

Hopefully even the easily offended types will be OK with this as long as Scary Movie 6 is actually funny. After all, isn’t that the point of comedy?

The Wayans brothers (Marlon, Shawn, and Keenen Ivory Wayans) are returning to write and produce and will also resume their roles as Shorty Meeks and Ray Wilkins, alongside returning stars Anna Faris (Cindy Campbell), Regina Hall (Brenda Meeks) and Dave Sheridan (Doofy Gilmore/Ghostface).

Hopefully they’ve some good movies to take the p1ss out of this time around. Could real comedy movies be making a comeback in 2026? Let’s hope so.
