Alex Reid Responds After Katie Price’s New Husband Lee Andrews Challenges Him To A Fight

British MMA legend Alex Reid has been grudging hard on ex-wife Katie Price for years, even after she was ordered to pay him £250,000 in 2019 over a revenge porn video that featured him.

Naturally, Reid has now had his say on Katie Price’s recent wedding to multi-millionaire CEO £1,000-a-night escort Lee Andrews, who she married 7 days after meeting in Dubai.

Reid, 50, said: ‘It’s irresponsible on your family and the children to marry someone you don’t know.

‘I genuinely wish the man good luck marrying her. I hope the marriage lasts longer than the court-ordered debts that she still owes me and to many others, demonstrating accountability and responsibility.

‘It’s not really her strong point. Maybe, he could be the best thing in the world to happen to her. He could help her pay her debts and be accountable with money.’

Andrews, 43, took offence to that, telling The Sun that he would fight Alex Reid ‘anytime, anywhere.’

He then went on to suggest a 5-round cage fight and that proceeds could go to a charity chosen by Katie. Um, how about the proceeds go to Alex Reid? Have you not been paying attention, buddy? Your wife owes him money!

Well, Alex Reid has now addressed the challenge on Instagram, writing that he had ‘seen the noise about a possible MMA fight involving me.’

‘In the past, I fought anyone, anywhere, at any time. That’s the truth. But experience teaches you that bravado isn’t wisdom and combat sports come with real, lifelong consequences.’

‘Public attention can be intoxicating. Being pulled into the spotlight, especially through association with high-profile figures, can push people to escalate or chase relevance without understanding the cost.

‘Sometimes the most responsible thing is restraint and protecting others from their own inexperience.’

Alex added that he is a ‘professional’ who does not ‘fight on impulse’, and ‘any bout would only even happen if it was based on a viable business model’ because ‘risk must match reward’.

‘If I ever had to step forward, I wouldn’t hesitate. I fight with heart, I always have. But maturity means thinking beyond ego now.’

‘I won’t be drawn into theatrics. Experience speaks quietly.’

What a guy. Basically saying he’s going to protect Lee Andrews for an unfathomable @ss-whooping by refusing to take on the fight. Could there be a more emasculating response? After all, Alex Reid is/was a pro MMA fighter with years of experience under his belt. Lee Andrews is a guy who puts filters on his pictures and Photoshops images of himself hanging out with Elon Musk and Kim Kardashian. Surely it’s a no-brainer who would come out on top here?

Well anyway, Reid did leave the door a little bit open by mentioning a ‘viable business model’, so maybe Lee Andrews can come up with something that will make it worth his while. Katie Price on a pole match? Wouldn’t be the first time.
