RFK Jr Claims Circumcision ‘Highly Likely’ Linked To Autism
Following President Trump’s advice that people should stay away from Tylenon (Paracetamol) because it causes autism, Health Secretary Robert F. Kennedy Jr. has now claimed that circumcision is ‘highly linked’ to the condition also. Is there anything these people won’t say is linked to autism?
In fairness, the two claims are connected in this case, with RFK Jr saying babies have to take a lot of Tylenol/Paracetamol after being circumcised, which is why so many of them end up with autism.
Kennedy said: “There are two studies which show children who are circumcised early have double the rate of autism, it’s highly likely, because they were given Tylenol.”
According to The Associated Press, Kennedy is referring to a study in the Journal of the Royal Society of Medicine in 2015, which looked at ritual circumcision and the risk of autism spectrum disorder in boys under 10.
It found that the boys who had undergone the procedure, which involves removing the foreskin from the penis, were more likely to develop autism than other boys in the study.
RFK Jr: Children who are circumcised early have double the rate of autism, and it’s highly likely because they’re given Tylenol.
Trump: There’s a tremendous amount of of proof or evidence. I would say as a non-doctor, but I’ve studied this a long time pic.twitter.com/9g8U6oWIiL

Again, this is not because our social skills are stored in the foreskin, but rather down to the idea that these boys will have taken Tylenol following the procedure and that caused them to develop autism.
Of course, correlation doesn’t equal causation, and so it’s hard to know how seriously to take these claims and the study it’s apparently based on. After all, experts like the FDA and Autism Speaks emphasise no proven causal link, and cite genetics or prenatal factors as the main causes of autism.
Somehow I doubt Trump will advise against circumcision in the same way he advised against taking Tylenol, but it sure would be funny to see Bibi Netanyahu’s reaction if he did. Come to think of it – is autism prevalent in the Jewish community? Maybe something for them to look into.
