Looks like CyclingMikey is no longer messing about after becoming one of the polarising figures on the internet – pulling out a Sharpie when confronted by a pair of kids on e-bikes this week.

The controversial YouTuber, who made his name riding around London and shaming/reporting drivers who break traffic laws, stood his ground when a pair of lads began taunting him and was ready for action if things turned physical:

Now in fairness to CyclingMikey, those kids were masked up and rather boisterous and may very well have put their hands on him or his possessions had he not pulled out his Sharpie. In fact, CyclingMikey is convinced that they were phone thieves. He put out the full video from his perspective on YouTube earlier:

Initially when the clip began doing the rounds earlier today, people were saying that CyclingMikey pulled out a blade or a flick knife, but he’s since told LBC that it was nothing more than sharpie.

“I don’t carry a knife and never have. You can just about see it my own video – it’s a rounded black plastic object.

“Amusingly it’s a Sharpie, but there’s nothing sharp about it, just a rounded plastic pen. Mind you, they do say the pen is mightier than the sword!

“Despite my dislike of those suspected thieves, I would not wish any harm on them or anyone else.”

“Apparently the police had been chasing them all over Chiswick that afternoon.”

Blimey. First he lobs his bike at a driver going the wrong way down a one-way street, and now he’s pulling out Sharpies on young e-bike riders. What have the London roads done to this man? Best keep his head on a swivel, the way things are going.

For the time CyclingMikey caught Chris Eubank Snr. on his phone and cost him 3 points on his license, click HERE. Parliamentary procedure, you might say.
