Over in Australia, rugby star Michael Lichaa has been acquited of domestic violence charges after his ex-fiancée and accuser Kara Childerhouse failed to turn up to court a testify against him.

That’s not the part of the story that’s making headlines though. The part everyone is talking about is Lichaa’s testimony about how he and Kara hosted a house party where he caught her sucking off his teammate in the garden of their home.

As reported by the NY Post, Lichaa nearly died after losing 2.5 liters of blood when he slashed himself by punching a window in anger. Lichaa, who played for the Canterbury-Bankstown Bulldogs, woke up to find Childerhouse in his backyard fellating his former Bulldogs teammate Adam Elliott, and flew into a rage.

In shock, and still feeling the effects of drinking for 12 hours straight, he stormed inside, followed by Elliott (who was apologetic), where he punched the glass window on his front door, cutting his arm badly as he pulled it from the frame. He told the court the incident left him a ‘shattered man’:

‘I couldn’t get the image of my fiancée performing oral sex on my best friend out of my mind.’

Here’s the couple during happier times:

Lichaa always maintained that he’d never laid a finger on Childerhouse, and he was vindicated after she not only failed to turn up to court but also submitted a statement in which she retracted the allegations. In any case it seems like Lichaa has moved on; he’s got himself a therapist, a life coach and even a brand new fiancée. So he’s come out of the situation with a huge W, especially now he’s avoided an assault charge too.

As for his former teammate Adam Elliott; it was nice of him to follow Lichaa into the house to apologise and explain why he’d allowed his missus to give him a BJ in the back garden, but he probably should have declined it in the first place. And yet, he did turn up to court to testify on Lichaa’s behalf, so maybe that sort of makes up for it. Takes a big man to admit he shouldn’t have received a blowie from his best mate’s fiancée. But an even bigger man to take the stand in court and defend said mate who he believes has been wrongly accused.

I’m not sure these two will ever be friends again, given the whole “I can’t get the image of my fiancée performing oral sex on my best friend out of my mind” thing. But maybe they’ll be able to look back and laugh about it one day in the future. Either way – we’re glad Lichaa survived to tell the tale!
