The Johnny Depp/Amber Heard trial is finally due to conclude this week and after Amber Heard rested her case yesterday, it’s now left to Depp to provide some more witnesses to try and clear his name.

The first of these was a guy called Morgan Night, who gave evidence yesterday about an argument between the couple at his luxury trailer park in Hicksville, California back in 2013. Here’s what Night had to say about it:

I was speaking with Mr Depp, just one-on-one talking about Hicksville, and Ms Heard came over and she said that I want to talk to you and seemed really upset about something.

They went off on their own and she started yelling at him.

Mr Depp was cowering and seemed almost afraid during the row.

It was really, like, odd to see because he was older than her obviously, so but I just went back into the house.

At the beginning of the night he was a lot more outgoing and extraverted. As the course of the night went on, he was less so.

There was minimal damage to their trailer and only a light fixture was broken.

Yeah again, I don’t think anyone at this point is arguing that Amber Heard wasn’t a major dickhead to Johnny Depp and that they had an extremely toxic relationship – it seems clear from everything that they’ve said about each other that it was absolutely awful – but I don’t know if that necessarily means that Depp didn’t hit her and that she necessarily defamed him with her op-ed piece back in 2015.  I guess that’s up for both the court of public opinion and the jury to decide. Only a week or so until we find out what the jury think about it all – I fear we’ll never hear the end of it in reality though.
