Tupac is one of the most influential artists of the 90s and his untimely death and the mystery surrounding it only make his story more compelling. That’s why the new biopic about him ‘All Eyez On Me’ should be absolute quality cinema.

I’m sure everyone knows most of the details about the life and death of Tupac, so here are a few details about the movie itself instead – it’s set to be released later this year and features Demetrius Shipp, Jr. (Tupac Shakur), Danai Gurira (Afeni Shakur), Kat Graham (Jada Pinkett), Dominic L. Santana (Suge Knight), Jamal Woolard (Biggie Smalls), Annie Ilonzeh (Kidada Jones), Lauren Cohan (Lelia Steinberg), Grace Gibson (Faith Evans), and Harold House Moore (Dr Dre).

I don’t know who any of those actors are but hopefully that will make the movie a whole lot more authentic, just like the NWA movie last year. Here’s the trailer:

Yeah that looks like it’s got everything to make it a completely sick movie: self doubt, partying, girls, rap music, money, problems, guns, loyalty, thug life – yep, pretty much got it all right there. Not really sure what it’s about or the plotline from that trailer – other than Tupac’s life obviously – but I don’t think you really need to know do you? It just looks dope.

For more Tupac, check out what this policeman on his deathbed apparently confessed a few months ago. Not really buying it, but still.
