Just a minor update on the situation with Tommy Robinson and his alleged assault on a man at St Pancras station in London the other day.
Police are seeking to question Tommy over the incident, but are finding it difficult since he immediately fled the UK.
British Transport Police (BTP) said officers had found a man on Monday evening with “serious but non-life-threatening injuries”, and added that a 42-year-old male suspect had boarded a flight out of the country in the early hours of Tuesday morning.
One BBC journalist did reach out to Tommy over the incident, however. According to the BBC, Robinson responded to her with a message that simply read: “slag”.

Bit rude, really. But I guess Tommy Robinson has always felt harshly treated by the BBC and its reporters. Even still, he’s not doing himself any favours with his behaviour following the incident: fleeing the country and refusing to speak to police about what happened.
In any case, there’s a surveillance camera literally above his head in the clip of him pacing around the unconscious man’s body. It shouldn’t be too difficult to prove whether Tommy was acting in self-defence (which he claims in the video by saying: “He came at me bruv, you saw that, he came at me””) or whether he’s just punched a man out for no good reason.
Tommy was in London promoting an upcoming rally in the city, but it’s now looking unlikely that he’ll make it to the event himself. Is he going to return to the UK or stay put wherever he’s buggered off to? Not a great spot he finds himself in, either way.
