This Snapchat Footage Of The Florida School Shooting Is Absolutely Terrifying

Florida School Shooting

No one should have to experience this.

By now you’ve probably all heard about the Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School shooting in Parkland Florida yesterday, where at least seventeen people have been confirmed as dead and the shooter – 19 year old Nikolas Cruz – has been place in police custody.

Incredibly, this is the eight school shooting in the US THIS YEAR, despite the fact that we’re only seven weeks into it. It’s also being labelled as the third deadliest in American history.

Cruz’s motives at this point are unknown but it’s being said that he was recently expelled from the school for disciplinary reasons and that other students were afraid that he might do something like this. He was apparently obsessed with guns, enjoyed killing small animals and posting about both of these activities on social media. People said that he had become progressively more and more weird and that he might be capable of something like this. I suspect we’ll hear more about him in the coming days.

Footage has also emerged from inside the school as to what it was like during the attacks thanks to one student who decided to Snapchat the experience. To say this is terrifying, distressing and disturbing would be somewhat of an understatement:

Damn. Those guns sound so loud and so deadly – I would want anyone to ever have to go through that. I don’t even know what to say about it, I just wish that America would sort its gun laws out once and for all so that nobody ever has to experience that ever again. But the way it’s going there’s going to be one of these every week for the rest of the year.

RIP to the victims and we hope that everyone affected by this shooting can recover and move forward with their lives. Please stop allowing this to happen so easily though America.
