There are some really great people in this world, people who go out of their way to give back to society. People who do charity work or hand their own hard-earned cash over to those who need it more. People who save lives and people who make a real impact on society through education or art. Unfortunately, there are also some grade A nobbers (like this guy). Kim Farry is a prime example of one of these nobbers.

The woman, aged 54, who claims to have previously averaged ‘earnings’ of £50,000 a year from shoplifting (she’s also ‘earned’ 30 separate criminal convictions), a practice which she also described as running her “successful business”, has been featured on a Channel 5 documentary.

Kim Farry Thief

In the show she estimates the amount of money she needs to live on at a grand total of £4000 a month, a sum she has arrived at “because of the money I am used to.” This lifestyle that she needs to live, previously funded by her life of crime, includes paying for tattoos, plastic surgery and designer clothes. Couldn’t maybe just not be a giant bellend and perhaps lower your standards a little? I mean, seeing as you never actually paid for anything that afforded you that lifestyle, and I’m sure that they probably didn’t have Michael Kors in prison, it wouldn’t be that much of a shock? But no, the delight that is Miss Farry is adamant,

I would work in a gym. There was one here at £18,000-a-year but that’s not enough money. I need more money than that — I need double that.

I just want to do a job and I need it to pay well… I don’t want to work like I’m on benefits. That’s the problem.

Oh yeah, I forgot the bit where’s she’s now living off of benefits. Tax payer funded benefits. She also lives rent free in a flat in Fulham. What a wonderful and fair society we have. So what is it that qualifies her for this high salary she expects?

I’ve applied for a few jobs but never get anything back — they want loads of qualifications and I ain’t got anything. I can’t even talk properly. I’m too common.

Could be that I suppose. Or it could be that long criminal record and the fact that she’s an insufferable leach on society. Anyway, the show is on Channel 5 at 9PM tonight if you can survive such torture.
