2017 is already shaping up to be a good year for horror movies with some absolutely excellent releases that we’ve already heard about coming up, and we can now add The Void to that list too.

The movie tells the story of a cop played by Aaron Poole who runs into a blood soaked man walking down a deserted highway. He rushes him to the nearest hospital, only to find that the whole place is surrounded by weird cloaked cult like figures and the members of staff and patients there slowly start to turn ravenously insane. It’s up to Poole to protect the survivors and also sort out the ‘gateway to pure evil’ that they discover in the basement.

Yeah, it doesn’t really give much away does it? But all the way through it there’s a palpable feeling of dread and it looks like it’s going to get pretty messy with the last few scenes in the trailer too. The reviews on the festival circuit have been awesome too, so I think we can look forward to this one and won’t be disappointed. Only a couple of months until April 7th.
