An absolute legend of a child became his mum’s favourite son this week after managing to alert her to a massive tree that was about to squash her, allowing her to escape with just moments to spare.

The footage out of Alpharette, Georgia shows the mum relaxing by the pool while her two sons splash around in the water. As luck would have it, one of the kids turns his attention to his mum and yells at her to run just as the tree is about to fall:

Damn! How close was that? I’m actually amazed the mum managed to listen and take his instruction and get up right away. I feel like most women would be like “What? Why? What are you talking about?”. Hope that doesn’t sound sexist – just a subjective observation maybe. Although to be fair it may have had something to do with the sound of the massive tree cracking and falling behind her.

Well either way, thoughts and prayers with the other sibling who is now permanently the #2 favourite kid in this household. Guess who’s going to be choosing between KFC and Chinese on takeaway night? Or a PS5 or Xbox Series X at Christmas? The son who saved his mum’s life, duh. That’s just the way it goes.
