Steven Avery’s new lawyer Kathleen Zellner is convinced that she has already figured out who killed Theresa Halbach and will be able to prove him innocent fairly shortly.

In an interview with LipTV (which you can watch all of below), Zellner laid out the following crucial statement:

It’s the evidence. In having had a number of these cases, it has the signature of a wrongful conviction case.

They only focused on him. They did not look at a lot of other suspects, certainly some very key people they should have been looking at.

There was a very poor investigation done of the victim’s background, who she was involved with, the circumstances of her life.

It had all of the hallmarks of a wrongful conviction case.

I also intend to prove who actually killed Teresa Halbach.

It is fairly obvious if you review the record of the criminal case.

Well, Zellner seems fairly confident about it – we can only wait now for it to go to trial/appeal and see what happens. She’s also posted the following tweets recently which seem to further her investigation and provide some delicious tidbits for everyone out there who’s still obsessed with the show:

Again, it sounds like she’s building a pretty legit case but it’s just a case of waiting and seeing what she comes up with when she presents it to a job. Hopefully that won’t be too long, but in the meantime, catch up on all the developments in the Making A Murderer saga since the show aired here.
