‘Morbius’ might have been one of the most average movies to be released this year, but it still raked it in at the box office and also transcended into popular culture by becoming a huge meme meaning that it might even have had more impact on the world than any other movie that’s currently been released this year.

Whilst the memes have died down after ‘Morbius’s run at the cinema, someone decided to do something completely unhinged the other day after the movie was released to rent and buy on digital last week. The maniac decided to set up a Twitch channel called ‘Morbius247’ and then solely show the movie, presumably hoping to do so for the rest of eternity.

Thousands of people tuned in before the channel was sadly shut down by Sony and some of the comments were a real hoot:

Wow. People really are so weird aren’t they? I kinda get the appeal of tuning into a stream of ‘Morbius’ just to leave weird comments and trash it, but I also don’t and think that there are way more useful ways these guys could be spending their time. I guess that’s just the power of ‘Morbius’ and I shouldn’t question it though.

Anyway, it looks like some people tried to get the stream set back up a few times but it kept getting shut down which is a bit of a bummer. Hopefully someone, somewhere manages to find a way to get around it because ‘Morbius’ definitely deserves to be played 24/7 for the rest of eternity. Let’s make it happen – It’s Morbin’ Time!
